How are Qaadir's Medical expenses covered?
Currently, Qaadir is covered under the COBRA provision of the insurance he received while employed until the winter of 2007. This coverage is made possible by the monthly sadaqah from family to cover the monthly premiums. We are in the process of securing Medicare and Disability Benefits from the U.S. Social Security Administration in order to provide coverage for the months beyond the limits of the active COBRA provision.
What are the needs of Qaadir's wife and children?
Qaadir's family is need of your support. His wife and parents are committed full-time to providing home health support for Qaadir. This commitment is made possible by the constant sadaqah and support of family, friends, and community. Please visit our help page if you would like to send sadaqah.
Qaadir's children are in attendance at the daycare program of Little Believers (404) 207-9916 and the Pre-K program at Mohammed Schools of Atlanta. This is made possible by the generous support of Ameenah Sabree and the community of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam.
Who is providing home health services for Qaadir?
Qaadir's home and health services are provided primarily by his wife and parents with the constant support of family, friends, and community.
What is the specific medical condition that has been diagnosed?
Qaadir has been diagnosed with Gall Bladder cancer that has metastasized to the bones. He has attempted treatment programs of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, but both treatments have proven ineffective against the cancer.
What about alternative treatments?
At this time, our focus is on Qaadir's nutrition. Many cancer patients experience a critical condition known medically as cachexia.
