Currently, he is receiving medicine for alleviating major pain. Because of potential complications, Qaadir is not receiving intravenous fluids or nutrition. He is however able to orally intake limited fluids and small foods.

A tribute from a dear friend

This video tribute was created by Qaadir's dear friend Ameer Muhammad, posted to his MySpace page and was able to raise much needed sadaqah for Qaadir's family. When Qaadir saw the video, he was very emotional and declared how he felt very loved by Ameer's early concern. Watch the video and listen to his story.

Bismillah Ar Rahman ar Rahim

As Salaamu Alaikum dear friends, family, and supporters.

Our family is learning to deal with miracles on the everyday basis. Allah's (God's) mercy is so magnificent, and so far expanding, that many times we only think about the cliche forms of miracles that occur in life. Qaadir Abdellah Siddeeq's story is far from a cliche.

He is my fantastic husband of nearly 7 years this December, my best and most trusted confidante, a devoted and animated father of Shu'aib (4) and Zayna (2), a peaceful and motivating sibling, and a powerful yet gentle son.

Qaadir was a stellar student in the architecture program at Georgia Tech, a burgeoning graphic designer, a serious student of art, and still is a diligent servant of Allah. It is said that Allah (God) tests those whom he loves, and with this immense and overpowering struggle we as a family are facing, I am certain that our family is beloved by Allah (God).

In the fall of 2007, my husband Qaadir Siddeeq was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in the gallbladder. From the moment the words were uttered from the the doctors lips our resolution as a family was to have the highest faith, a dynamic strength, and an unwavering belief in Allah's (God's) executive plan.

The strength that Allah swt continuously renews in us, is what serves as our driving force in life. Even now in our most difficult days with Qaadir's illness at a critical state, it is our tenacity to be strong in iman (faith), beautiful in spirit, and prevalent in love every single day. We are completely surrendering to the Will of God and are open to accepting his bounty in all forms, be it community support and wondrous love, monetary assistance for our livelihood, or powerful and caring words to comfort and assuage the fears and hurts in our hearts and minds. We thank you, every day. For your prayers, your actions, your donations, your support, the hugs, the phone calls, the smiles, and the dedications. May we all be granted paradise for our unified efforts.

With the most sincere love,

Na'aisha Malika Austin, wife of Qaadir
& The Siddeeq and Austin-Bilal Families
Early this morning, Qaadir was readmitted to Crawford Long Hospital for fluid and nutritional support. We thank everyone for their recent support. Please visit our help page to learn what ways you can best provide help.
